Barcelona wine tasting tours in the city

For one evening in the city, the sommelier tasting is the pick. It costs from €35 for five wines and takes 1.5 to 2 hours. Unlike a wine bar, a sommelier explains each wine and gives you tips on where to eat and drink next.

Wine bars are only part of it. For the late hours, see Barcelona best nightlife.

Barcelona food and wine tours

Pick the tapas and wine walk if you want dinner too. For more eating than drinking, see our foodie tours Barcelona picks.

To cook it yourself, try one of our Barcelona cooking classes. To eat out on your own, look for good food Barcelona tips.

A food and wine tour in Barcelona’s old town

The walk covers the Gothic Quarter and El Born. Each of the 4 stops pairs food with wine, cava or vermouth.

The Barcelona Tapas and Wine Experience small-group walking tour

Look for this name when you book. It takes 2 h 15 to 3 hours, with 9 tastings and a group of up to 13. You can add a flamenco show at the end, but the ticket is not included.

Montserrat and winery day trips

Three day trips pair Montserrat with a winery. The half-day trip gives you good wine time without a full day. The full day, shown here, adds a long lunch. Montserrat is also on our list of day trips from Barcelona.

Castlexperience wine tours from Barcelona

Castlexperience runs all three Montserrat wine trips on this page. The half day adds a tapas brunch. The full day adds a multi-course meal. The cheapest one adds wine only as an option.

Barcelona wine tours by the day: how long each takes

The half-day wine and tapas trip takes 7 hours. The optional-extras trip takes 6 to 9 hours. The full day takes 9 hours.

Cava tours from Barcelona

For cava, book the Codorníu cellars tour. It costs from €30 as listed and lasts 1.5 hours, with three cava tastings.

You get there yourself. One guide says the R4 local train takes about 45 minutes from Plaça d’Espanya to Sant Sadurní d’Anoia. Part of that line was closed after an accident in January 2026 and reopened in April, so check the line on the day.

Tips before you book a wine tour

  1. The winery may change

The half-day Montserrat wine trip says you may visit a different winery on the day.

  2. Check the wine option

On the cheapest Montserrat trip, wine comes only with a winery option. Pick it when you book.

  3. Plan the ride to Codorníu

The cava tour does not include transport. Check the R4 train before you go.

  4. Adults only for the tasting

The city tasting is not for anyone under 18 or for pregnant women.

  5. If plans change

All six picks have free cancellation on GetYourGuide.
