Tips before you book

A few checks save trouble once you arrive.

  • Keep your bag in front of you at check-in. The city's safety page says pickpockets work at metro stations and monuments, and police advise this, most of all at hotel check-in.
  • Watch out for staged distractions. The same page warns about them.
  • Look up the walk from your hotel to the nearest metro or train station before you book.
  • If you plan a night in Girona, check the train times from Barcelona Sants first.
